This is a conversation that has been had over the years but I want to reopen it after last night. Morrison beat Chris Jericho (his body language and interaction with Jericho afterwards made it seem like one of the biggest wins of his career and possibly set him up for a push). Miz hyped himself as having truly arrived in WWE and then as most of us believe, set up a match where he will lose the U.S title. But he will still have MITB.

So which of these two would you choose? Who do you think is better? Who has more long term potential? Who has more staying power in the main event scene?

Miz: The reality TV star that many thought did not belong. He has worked his way up the ranks, from the absolute bottom to seemingly on his way to the top. Since breaking up with Morrison he has had more success. He won TT titles with Big Show, the US title twice and MITB. NXT season one and two was often times built around him. He seems currently stuck in a mid card feud but at any moment could become THE man. Some speculate he will become the first MITB winner to lose the championship match. Win or lose, only time will tell if he has staying power in the main event. I think he is overrated on the mic and his wrestling skills can only be described as "improving". He plays his role very well and the fans were trying to turn him face the way they did for Orton.

Morrison:He had more success during and before the time he and Miz were together. 3X TT champ in MnM, ECW champ (and in many peoples eyes was deemed a future world champ because of this) and a three time Intercontinental champion. Many people saw him as the next Shawn Michaels breaking out from TT wrestling to shine as a singles star. It hasnt happened yet. He has charisma but his mic skills are bland. He tells cheap jokes looking for a laugh. He has a following as a face but works better as a heel and that might improve his mic skills. His wrestling skills are better than Miz but he does not get the time to shine in 5 minute mid card matches on RAW. He was put in a seemingly random TT with R Truth to get on the Wrestlemania card and lost to his former partner. He was made to look somewhat weak in the Raw vs Nexus feud. He has always had potential but has not been reached. Maybe the win over Jericho can spark something.

So at this point lets reopen this discussion. Who is better, now and going forward.

Dark:

*JTG pinned Tyler Reks. JTG actually pulled fuzzy dice out of his boot to shake at one point.

WWE NXT:

Josh and Cole out to start NXT, followed by Striker. The NXT theme music is new for the girls.

The Pros came out to introduce their rookies. Vickie came out last to excuse herself and get booed. She introduced her new diva, Caitlyn.

Striker said the season would last 3 months. Then each Diva got a chance to speak. Caitlyn was the girl that was homecoming queen and class clown. Vickie wasn't happy and told her to do it again. So Caitlyn just kissed Vickie's ass.

Aksana said she's the billion dollar beauty from Lithuania. She said her favorite colors were black and gold. Striker said she like "double double E"

Maxine said she had street, book, and common sense. The crowd "WHAT"d her.

AJ said Striker needed a hug, then said she wanted to win NXT and the title.

Jamie said she was ready to step from behind the mike and give it 110% and looks forward to the work needed.

Naomi thinks WWE has been missing her, saying she's a fighter and that talk is cheap.

Next is a rookie challenge. The Pros go to the stage. Striker said first elimination will be in four weeks, whoever has the most wins is immune.

The challenge is a diva dance off...with Michael Cole. Cole had red legwarmers and a Fred Astaire hat and NO rhythm. Naomi did some not wholly PG dancing. Jamie just shook in place and got booed. Cole got a break on favor of Chimel, who was offered donuts.

AJ grabbed Chimel's tie (she's so fired!) and rump grinded him a bit. Maxine tried to remove her suspenders and used his tie too.

Josh was partner three for Aksana. They did some cheek to cheek classic dancing. Caitlyn did the robot and other old school moves from Evolution of Dance.

Everyone but Naomi and AJ got booed, including Cole. Naomi won.

Tag match: Kelly Kelly and Naomi vs. Alicia Fox and Maxine. Naomi hit a nice springboard into a sunset flip and a good dropkick. Maxine with the worst bronco buster lite and an okay suplex. Crowd is really into Naomi. Naomi surprised Maxine with a small package for three, which didn't seem to be the finish. A little confusion, Naomi hit a suplex and rolled over to a cover, but the ref called it and Chimel announced Kelly and Naomi as winners.

They're setting up a stand with a flag hanging about seven feet up.

Another challenge, a capture the flag race around ringside, a diva eliminated each time. Finish saw Naomi win again, beating out Maxine. Another tag, Goldust and Aksana vs. Primo and AJ is next.

We got a rookie profile on Jamie. Trish Stratus is her role model.

Mixed tag: Goldust and Aksana vs. Primo and AJ - Aksana hit an ugly slam and legdrop but okay backbreaker. The Rookies flubbed the finish so they redid it, with AJ hitting a lift by Aksana into a bulldog (that really planted Aksana's face) for the win. I am guessing they will edit that out.

Afterwards, Vickie and Caitlyn came out. Vickie wanted Caitlyn to do her intro again. Caitlyn told Vickie off, then tried to attack AJ when Primo said it was AJ's moment. AJ shoved Caitlyn into Vickie, and AJ and Primo celebrated to close NXT.

Smackdown:
Kane/Taker recap video to open, then usual SD open and pyro.

They announced Taker and Punk, and then the gong hit and Taker was in the ring, fire going off on stage. He talked about how he's had to protect Kane from others and himself, so he'll have no problem beating on him at the PPV. Taker says he still controls the power of the darkness. He said Kane will always remember his older, wiser, more evil brother would take his title back. Taker says no rules can contain them, and says the match must be no holds barred.

CM Punk comes out alone, clapping. He tells everyone to stand and give Taker a round of applause fitting his legendary status. Punk says after the PPV none of us will see Taker again. He enjoys watching Taker on his own downward spiral, seeing a broken down man who's had one too many fights and is delusional.

Taker says he sees his next victim. Punk says he doesn't hear the same panache in Taker's voice, saying he's facing Big Show at the PPV (for no title I guess?) Taker says Punk will rest in peace, and we break.

Jack Swagger vs. MVP - they showed a recap of last week's VIP Lounge. It looks like MVP added the triple German suplexes, but only got two before Swagger elbowed out. Swagger did an abdominal stretch on MVP through the ropes. MVP hit the Ballin elbow, but Swagger slipped away before the 305. MVP followed and Swagger kicked the steps into MVP's knee, leading to the ankle lock for the tap.

Laycool and Kaval in the back, arguing over who would face Melina, saying Vickie let either defend. Kaval said it was his first night on SD, and could the girls please chill? They heeled him a bit, saying he wouldn't be there if not for them.

Next is a history of Taker and Kane.

Tony Chimel announces Alberto del Rio's ring announcer, who announced Alberto.

Alberto del Rio (with Orton's old sparkler curtain) vs. Matt Hardy - Matt's back to camouflage pants and no singlet. Alberto hit Matt on the apron with a running enziguri that was real loud. Matt hit an inverted Twist of Fate, ending with an elbowdrop for two, followed by a moonsault for two. They fought up top, with Alberto dropping to the floor to hang Matt's gut. Ram to the post followed by a flip into the cross-armbreaker for the tap. Afterwards, Christian ran Alberto off. Long TV match.

Drew McIntyre vs. Kaval (who already has better music and video than Daniel Bryan) - Drew hit a nasty suplex on the floor, landing Kaval on the apron. Kaval with an enziguri from the top rope, but Drew rolled out before Warrior's Way. Kaval went for a rana from the apron but Drew essentially powerbomed Kaval. Back in the ring, Drew hit the Future Shock DDT for three. Laycool came out to check on Kaval, but were icky at his sweat. They helped him to the back.

DASHING Cody Rhodes with grooming tips - how facials are good for men, while wearing a green facial mask.

Vickie and Caitlyn came out...again. Vickie kept berating Caitlyn's promo work, then introduced Dolph Ziggler. Chavo (with short tights) also came out and the whole group came to the ring.

Dolph Ziggler and Chavo Guerrero vs. Kofi Kingston and Chris Masters - One of these things just doesn't belong. Beatdown on Masters until a hot tag. Kofi entered with a high springboard clothesline. Double clothesline spot. Dolph made a tag but the ref didn't see it and put Chavo out - weird to do to the heels of course. Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise on Dolph for the three count.

A lot of ring and stage setup, including Kane's pyro corners. Meantime Big Show on the tron, interviewing himself, with him playing Josh Matthews. Kelly told Show Josh was coming do Show hid the mic under his arm. Josh got his mikc back, a bit soiled.

CM Punk with Straight Edge Society, then he sends them to the back. Punk vs. Undertaker - Punk cut off the usual moves, but got chokeslammed for two. Taker went for the tombstone, but Punk slipped out and hit the GTS. Punk slow to cover, and Taker got the Hell's Gate for the tap.

Undertaker went to pose and Kane's pyro went off with his laughter filling the arena like Joker's laugh box from 1989's Batman. That's where Smackdown ends.

Dark:

Undertaker vs. Kane for the World title - ends in a double countout. Kane continued the beating til Taker hit a chokeslam. Kane ran after that and the show ended with Taker posing.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut is undergoing a slight renovation as an office is being built for Paul "Triple H" Levesque, who was recently promoted to an executive role within the organization.
According to a company source, the multi-time wrestling champion now officially serves as WWE Chairman Vince McMahon's creative advisor.
