Default Most exciting fighter, Not best descussion

So I went back and watched the Forrest Griffin vs Bonnar fight for probably the millionth time. And i started thinking. Theres always alot of talk of who's a better fighter than who going on but not much about who is more exciting and fun to watch. Yea i know being fun to watch wont get u a belt but hell even Dana has said if u put on exciting fights u will always have a place in the UFC.

I personally think that fighters who put on a show and look great win or loose like Bonnar, Wanderlei, Leben, Belfort, Lytle, Diego, Guida to name a few should be held in the same praise as past champions because when u look at it champs are the mountain but the guys i just mentioned are the work horses that keep the business alive. Just look at the boom from Griffin vs Bonnar 1.

So heres the descussion...Who is the most entertaining fighter for u. People are entertained for different reasons so post why u are because of that fighter.

Hands down Clay Guida. Was the strikeForce champ a few years ago but I kinda doubt he captures the the UFC title, but he will always have a job. He goes balls out 100% of the time.

it's easily GSP, and yes I am biased since I'm Canadian, and absolutely love him but in all honesty he's simply the greatest fighter of all time. His technical skills and talent surpass any other fighter and watching him is like magic to the eyes.

GSP use to be exciting. He's been very cautious since he got caught by Serra.

Here's my top 5 (In no real order):

    1. Anderson Silva- When he's not fucking around, watching him strike is simply beautiful.
    2. Clay Guida- Win or lose, you know Guida is going to put on one hell of a show and give it his all.
    3. Chuck Liddell- We all remember old Chuck. The Chuck where you'd hold your breath until he knocked someone out
    4. Wanderlei Silva- They don't call him the ax murderer for nothing.
    5. Sakuraba- He is just a joy to watch in and out of the ring.

I have to agree. GSP was exciting back in the day but he has become very causious as a champ. The old GSP would have stood and striked with Hardy. I honestly think GSP is even a better striker than Hardy. He just knew that the safest bet was going to the ground since Brits have little to no wreslting training.

One guy i started thinking about as being exciting for different reasons than the norm is Lesnar. Everyone would get pumped when he got into the ring because they eather hated him that much or just they just where mortified by the goliaths size. Hell the Carwin fight that just happend was exciting and on the edge of your seat cause u couldnt belive he wasnt KO'ed. Now i belive his fights will be exciting because he truely is the kingpin of 265.

Clay Guida, Stephan Bonnar, Wanderlei, Leben (Can't wait for that fight if it takes place) I think for unorthodox I'd go with Jon Jones too

Yea i have to agree. Whenever u watch a Jon Jones fight expect to see something u havent seen b4 or something u never thought u would see being effective. He deffinatly is the future of the LHW div.

You know it. I hear a lot of rumors that the matchmakers of UFC are babying him and keeping him in easy fights. But I think if they put him in there too soon then he would just fizzle out quite frankly. Maybe a win against The Janitor and a win against a top 5 fighter and he'd get his title shot after Rashad?

They haven't really been giving him ez fights really.

    Bonnar is one tough sob
Matt Hamill is deff but good
Vera I personally don't like him but hell Vera has beaten an ex HW champ

And now on to Vlad...Hes the ex IFL LHW champ (if u forgot Roy Nelson the fat guy who's tearing up the HW div is the ex HW champ of that company). And the only 4 losses he has is against top guys of that time period (other than White and that was a split decision). Hell he fought Tito when Tito was ruling the LHW division and went to decision for the UFC title. This is a HUGE test for the young Jones imo. And his previous wins where definatly not against nobodys.

I'm 100% with u JD i have no clue why people are counting him out man.

Guess you're right maybe i feel that way because the LHW division is so stacked. Because Shogun is out until next year I think it will be a good 3 or 4 more fights before Jones gets a title shot if he keeps on winning obviously.

But back to the subject as much as i dislike him Diego Sanchez up until his fight with Guida was pretty damn entertaining.

Jones and Lesnar, Jones because as started earlier, you never really know what is gonna happen, he comes out and does something new and different.

For Lesnar, I am a fan but i always doubt him and thats what makes him exciting to me, I doubted he would beat Couture, Mir and Carwin and he has proven me wrong, he always keeps me at the edge of my seat cause I always think he is gonna lose but I want him to win. When he got rocked by Carwin that was the most intense few mins Ive ever seen in MMA.

I do like GSP and Leben, GSP cause he is the best fighter ive ever seen, even if he is cautious im fine with that, but i wanna see him take a risk or two now and again.
Leben is an animal, he just keeps going and going and wont stop.
